The Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse T630 is a slim Bluetooth 3.0 touch mouse made for portable Windows and Mac use. It does not use a USB nano receiver. The small Micro-USB cable in the box charges the built-in battery only, so plugging in the cable will not pair the mouse like a wired device.

Clean Setup for the T630 Without Treating It Like a USB Mouse
Set up the T630 from Bluetooth settings, not from a receiver utility. Slide the power switch on, choose channel 1 or 2 with the Easy-Switch slider, and press the Connect button on the bottom. The blue status light should blink quickly while the mouse stays discoverable for a few minutes.
Pair from the Bluetooth menu first
On Windows, open Bluetooth device settings and add the Ultrathin Touch Mouse from the wireless device list. Older Windows systems may show the device through the classic Bluetooth icon, while newer versions place it inside Bluetooth and devices settings. Keep the mouse close to the computer until pairing finishes.
On macOS, open Bluetooth settings, wait for the Ultrathin Touch Mouse to appear, and complete pairing from there. If the mouse appears but will not finish pairing, remove the old entry, restart Bluetooth, press Connect again, and repeat the pairing while the blue light still blinks.
Use the right channel before blaming the software
The Easy-Switch slider stores separate pairings on channel 1 and channel 2. If the T630 worked yesterday but does nothing today, look at the channel position before changing drivers. The mouse must sit on the same channel used during pairing, or the computer may wait for a device that is not actually active.
Use the second channel only when adding another computer or tablet. Pairing the same computer again on the wrong channel can make the setup confusing because both entries may look similar in the Bluetooth list. Remove the older entry if you want a clean start.
Install Logitech software after pointer movement works
Install Logitech SetPoint on supported Windows versions or Logitech Preference Manager on supported Mac versions when you need the full touch behavior available for this older model. Basic movement should already work before installing the software. A software install cannot fix a mouse that has no charge or never enters pairing mode.
After installing the package, restart the computer and test clicks, scrolling, middle click, and edge swipes in simple apps. Do not judge touch gestures inside one browser tab or one old program only. Some apps ignore horizontal scrolling or system gestures even when the mouse works correctly.
T630 Bluetooth, Touch Surface, Charging, and Pointer Symptoms
The T630 can act dead for several different reasons, and they do not all need the same fix. Work through the visible signs first: blue light for pairing, green or red battery light for charge, channel position, and whether the computer already has an old Bluetooth entry saved.
The T630 does not appear in Bluetooth devices
Slide the mouse to On, choose channel 1 or 2, then press the Connect button. Watch for the blue light. If it does not blink quickly, charge the mouse for a while and try again. The T630 stays discoverable only for a short pairing window, so open Bluetooth settings before pressing Connect.
If the computer still finds nothing, turn Bluetooth off and on, then restart the computer. Keep the T630 close to the laptop during the scan. On desktop PCs, confirm the Bluetooth adapter works with another device, because the T630 has no USB receiver fallback.
Pairing fails even though the mouse is listed
Remove the Ultrathin Touch Mouse from the Bluetooth device list and pair it again from the beginning. A stale Bluetooth profile can keep Windows or macOS from completing the handshake, especially after system updates or after using the same mouse on another channel.
Press Connect only after you choose the correct Easy-Switch channel. If the blue light stops blinking, press Connect again before selecting the mouse on the computer. A half-finished pairing often clears after removing the old entry, restarting Bluetooth, and pairing during a fresh discoverable window.
The mouse disconnects at random
Charge the T630 first, even if it wakes for a moment after switching off and on. A low rechargeable battery can make the Bluetooth link drop without warning. If the status light blinks red, stop troubleshooting software and connect the Micro-USB charging cable.
Also check Bluetooth power saving on Windows laptops. Some systems turn off the Bluetooth radio too aggressively to save power. Update the computer’s Bluetooth driver from the PC maker when disconnections started after a Windows update, then remove and pair the mouse again.
The T630 loses pairing after restart
Use one Easy-Switch channel for one computer and leave it there. If the channel slider moves in a laptop bag, the computer may look as if it forgot the mouse, but the T630 is actually waiting on the other stored pairing slot.
If the entry remains unreliable after every reboot, delete the saved Bluetooth device and create a new pairing. Restart the computer before pairing again. This clears the old profile and forces the system to save a fresh connection record for the selected channel.
The touch surface clicks but scrolling does not work
Test scrolling with a straight up or down swipe on the touch surface. The T630 has no physical scroll wheel, so wheel behavior comes from the touch surface and the Bluetooth HID profile. If normal pointer movement works, install or reinstall the Logitech software that matches your operating system.
Try scrolling in a browser, file window, and document editor. If one app refuses to scroll while others work, the app is the problem. If scrolling fails everywhere, remove old Logitech mouse software, restart, install the correct package again, and test before changing gesture settings.
Right click opens when you expect left click
Lift the non-clicking finger fully off the touch surface. The T630 reads left and right click zones through the top surface, and resting another finger on the mouse can change the click result. This feels like a button fault, but finger placement often causes it.
Check the system’s primary button setting as well. A left-handed mouse setting in Windows or macOS can reverse click behavior. Change it back, then test with one finger on the left side and one finger on the right side.
Middle click does not work
Press the lower portion of the touch surface to trigger middle click. Do not press the top center like a normal scroll wheel mouse, because the T630 has no wheel. Test middle click in a browser by opening a link in a new tab.
If middle click worked earlier and later stopped, open the Logitech software and check the assigned action. Set the touch action back to middle button if it was changed. Then restart the browser, because some browser extensions can block middle-click tab behavior.
Horizontal swipes or Windows gestures feel inconsistent
Some T630 gestures depend on the operating system and the Logitech software layer. Windows 8 gestures such as edge swipes may not behave the same way on newer Windows versions. Start with basic scrolling and clicking before expecting every older gesture to match the original Windows layout.
Clean the touch surface with a soft dry cloth and remove moisture or oil from your fingers. The surface reads light finger movement, so heavy pressure can make swipes less accurate. If only one gesture fails, reset the software setting instead of pairing the mouse again.
The pointer jumps or tracks poorly
Move the T630 to a matte surface and test slow movement. Glossy glass, reflective desks, and strong patterns can confuse the optical sensor. A plain mouse pad or sheet of paper gives a better reading and quickly separates surface trouble from Bluetooth trouble.
Wipe the sensor window on the bottom with a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaner near the sensor or charging port. If tracking improves on a plain surface after cleaning, keep the mouse away from shiny travel tables and glass tops.
The battery runs down too quickly
Charge the mouse fully before judging battery life. A short emergency charge can get it working again, but it will not replace a full charge for daily use. If the T630 sat unused for months, leave it connected longer before pairing and testing.
Turn the mouse off when it goes into a bag. The slim body makes the switch easy to miss, and movement in a sleeve can wake the device. If runtime remains very short after full charging, the internal rechargeable battery may have aged.
The Micro-USB cable does not make the mouse work
The cable charges the T630; it does not turn it into a wired USB mouse. Keep Bluetooth turned on and pair the device even while charging. If the computer shows only a charging connection and no pointer movement, that behavior is normal for this model.
Try another known-good Micro-USB cable if the status light never reacts while charging. Some older cables carry power poorly or fit loosely. Use a computer USB port or a safe USB power source, then wait before pressing Connect again.
The T630 works on one computer but not another
Check which Easy-Switch channel belongs to each computer. Channel 1 may pair with the laptop, while channel 2 pairs with a desktop or tablet. Move the slider to the right channel before waking the mouse, then wait a few seconds for Bluetooth to reconnect.
If the second computer still refuses the connection, remove the mouse from that computer’s Bluetooth list and pair it again. Do not delete the entry on the working computer unless you want to rebuild both pairings. Keeping each channel separate makes the T630 much easier to manage.
